Youth Center


The younger residents of the Ocean Club have a place to enjoy during the heat of the summer months and the coolness of winter. The Youth Center caters to children ages 1 to 10 years old. All children must be accompanied by a parent, nanny or a responsible adult. Unaccompanied children will not be granted entry.  Residents are permitted to bring a maximum of two guests (non-residents) per visit.  An attendant is always on duty to oversee day-to-day operations and compliance of all rules and regulations of the facility and assist with the use of the amenity as needed.

The center has been designed with the entertainment needs of young children in mind. It includes:

  • Air Hockey table
  • Nintendo Swtich
  • Multi-function play sets
  • Books
  • Puzzles
  • Board Games
  • Donations of used toys in good condition are always welcome

RULES & REGULATIONS

The following policy guidelines must be adhered to when using the Youth Center:
  • Please note this is NOT a childcare facility or service
  • The OCCA Youth Center is for toddlers and young children, ages zero (0) to twelve (12)
  • Children MUST be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult (18 years old minimum) with a valid OCCA ID card NO ADMITTANCE WITHOUT SUPERVISION
  • No more than six (6) guests will be permitted under each member account (to be moved under the point of sick children)
  • The responsible adult must sign in with the Youth Center attendant upon entering the facility
  • If the responsible adult leaves the OCCA Youth Center, the toddler/child must also leave the Youth Center
  • Sick children and sick responsible adults are not allowed in the Youth Center
  • Adults are not permitted if not accompanying a child

PLEASE ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING CODE OF CONDUCT IN AND AROUND THE YOUTH CENTER:

  • No foul or abusive language
  • No fighting or rough play
  • No glass containers
  • No tobacco products
  • No pets
  • No weapons
  • No alcohol
  • Appropriate clothing is required
  • No running or bouncing balls
  • No climbing on the furniture
  • The responsible adult is responsible at all times for the conduct and supervision of toddlers, children and guests in their care. There must be a responsible adult for every four (4) children
  • Users must clean-up/organize area of usage so others may enjoy
  • Diapers must be changed in the restrooms and disposed of properly and hygiene/cleanliness must be adhered to at all times
  • Youth Center Attendant is available to answer questions, oversee the facility, enforce these Rules and Regulations, and to assist with the items in the Youth Center
Failure to follow the OCCA Youth Center code of conduct will result in disciplinary action, including removal from the facility and/or suspension or cancellation of member usage rights

YOUTH CENTER EVENTS

A “Youth Center Usage Policy” form must be completed and filed with the Catering Sales and Event Coordinator when using the Youth Center to host a children’s party event. Please consult with the Youth Center Supervisor for more information.
